Fleet see two depart

Ebbsfleet United have allowed midfielder Brendan Kiernan to join Hampton & Richmond Borough on loan until the  end of the season.

The 22-year-old former Bromley winger was a November signing having played for Lingfield, Staines and Hampton this season. He has appeared 14 times for the Fleet, scoring one goal.

Meanwhile, on-loan left back Ben Jefford has returned to parent club Welling United. His deal was set to expire on Saturday but the Wings have now recalled him early. The club would like to thank Ben for his efforts at Stonebridge Road.

Manager Jamie Day told FleetOnline that cover for the left-back position would hopefully come in the form of long-term absentee Aiden Palmer. “In fairness to Aiden he’s worked his socks off in training recently and all along his rehabilitation to get back to this point so I want to give him the opportunity to see it through and get him the game time he deserves.”
